The total distance on foot is about 9 kilometers, while the total distance including the trip to where the trail begins, is about 40 kilometers.
Through an Agency you will head to a Siberian Alaskan Huskies sled dog breeding center located 20 kilometers from town, where the trail begins. The first part of the hike goes through the forest and allows you to appreciate incredible views of the Tierra Mayor Valley and Carvajal. The rest of the trail leads you through forests, mountains, hanging glaciers, peat bogs and allows you to closely observe the flora and fauna of the place, especially the great variety of birds that fly over the area.
At the end, you’ll arrive at the magnificent Emerald Lagoon. The lagoon is surrounded by the Albino Glacier and the Torres and Toribio mountains, and this is precisely the scenario chosen to enjoy the scenery. After resting, the walk back begins.
